Registration

Registration is a key step for any person or legal entity that intends to participate in the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM).

All prospective Rule Participants may register in one or both of the Rule Participant classes of Market Participant or Network Operator.

The owners, operators and controllers of Facilities connected to the South West Interconnected System (SWIS), including Energy Producing Systems (generation works or storage works), distribution systems, transmission systems, loads or Demand Side Programmes, may register a Facility once they have been registered as a Rule Participant.
