AEMO has investigated combinations required for the extended operation of South Australia, Mortlake and APD connected as an island. Minimum combinations of synchronous generation in South Australia are:
1 - 1 x Torrens Island A unit + 2 x Torrens Island B units + 1 x Pelican Point GT/ST units + Osborne GT & ST
2 - 2 x Torrens Island A units + 2 x Torrens Island B units + Quarantine 5 + Osborne GT & ST
3 - 2 x Torrens Island A units + 3 x Torrens Island B units + Osborne GT & ST
