The Forecast LOR2 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 119895 has been updated at 1000 hrs 05/11/2024 to the following:

From 1230 hrs to 1930 hrs 07/11/2024.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1296 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 786 MW.

AEMO is seeking a market response.

AEMO estimates the latest time it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event is 0600 hrs on 06/11/2024

Project Energy Connect (PEC-1) testing 6th November 2024 for flows in both directions

There is an opportunity for testing Project Energy Connect (PEC-1) for flows in both directions up to 50 MW on 6th November from 07:00hrs to 11:00hrs

This test includes a trip and reclose of a line in South Australia.

NEM Local Temperature Alerts for QLD, SA from 05 Nov 2024 to 09 Nov 2024

AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE

AEMO's weather service provider has issued forecast temperatures equal to or greater than the NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels for listed weather stations below.

QLD
Dalby Ap (37+ Deg C): 5th Nov, 6th Nov, 7th Nov, 8th Nov, 9th Nov

SA
Port Augusta Ap (39+ Deg C): 5th Nov

The NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels are:

Launceston Ti Tree Bend: 33 Deg C, Dalby Airport: 37 Deg C, for all other selected weather stations: 39 Deg C.

AEMO requests Market Participants to:

1. review the weather forecast in the local area where their generating units / MNSP converter stations are located and,

2. if required, update the available capacity in their dispatch offers or availability submissions consistent with the forecast temperatures.
