On 27 March 2024, EnelX submitted three new proposed wholesale demand response (WDR) baseline methodologies for AEMO’s consideration. This is the first set of baseline methodology proposals that AEMO has received since the WDR Mechanism (WDRM) commenced in October 2021.
AEMO has published a Final Report outlining AEMO’s decisions on EnelX’s proposals, alongside additional measures that AEMO intends to introduce to support overall participation levels in the WDRM and address concerns raised by stakeholders as part of this consultation process and more broadly.
AEMO has also published a Further Consultation Paper to seek stakeholder feedback on two additional matters, including alternative baseline settings to better support solar PV sites to participate, and settings for an accuracy threshold trial. AEMO is accepting submissions to the Further Consultation Paper by 30 January 2025.
Please send submissions to the Further Consultation Paper to wdr@aemo.com.au by 30 January 2025.
