AEMO is undertaking an IT update of the Victorian Declared Wholesale Gas Market’s (DWGM) Market Clear Engine (MCE). The DWGM’s MCE was developed in 1998 at market start. The MCE produces the pricing schedule (market price) and operating schedule (scheduled quantity).
The MCE has been unchanged, except for a redevelopment in 2007 for intraday scheduling, since market start. AEMO is updating the MCE as software standards and system requirements have changed over time.
AEMO will be hosting a workshop to discuss the DWGM MCE Update Project on 18 September 2024.
