EUREKA Prize Winner

AEMO's Principal Analyst in Market Design, Dr Niraj Lal, as a recipient of the Celestino Eureka Prize for Promoting Understanding of Science from the Australian Museum in recognition of his dedication to increasing the understanding and appreciation of science among Australians of all ages. AEMO supports our people with flexible processes and policies to manage home, work and other passions, like Niraj’s to work a four-day week to balance work and home commitments, and to support his external science communication and professional engagements. CIGRE NGN Significant Contribution Award

AEMO is on a journey to be the most inclusive organisation in the Australian energy sector. We are incredibly proud of both Madeline Binet (Engineer - Operations) and Dr Genevieve Lietz (Principal Engineer - Operations) who have recently been recognised by CIGRE. Maddy was awarded the NGN Significant Contribution Award and has been instrumental in setting up the current NGN committee & Women in Energy Programs, while Genevieve has been awarded the Women in Energy (WiE) Award which recognises outstanding contributions of WiE members to CIGRE activities.   Genevieve and Maddy truly live AEMO's values by being passionate about making a difference.
