Project Energy Connect (PEC-1) testing 25th January 2025 0100-0300 for flows from Victoria to South Australia direction up to 150 MW

There is an opportunity for testing Project Energy Connect (PEC-1) for flows from Victoria to South Australia direction up to 150 MW on 25th January from 01:00hrs to 03:00hrs
This test includes switching of transmission lines and reactive plant in South Australia and in New South Wales.

AEMO's weather service provider has issued forecast temperatures equal to or greater than the NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels for listed weather stations below.
QLD
Dalby Ap (37+ Deg C): 24th Jan
Rockhampton Ap (39+ Deg C): 24th Jan
SA
Port Augusta Ap (39+ Deg C): 26th Jan, 27th Jan
VIC
Latrobe Valley Ap (39+ Deg C): 27th Jan
Melbourne Olympic Park (39+ Deg C): 27th Jan
Mildura Ap (39+ Deg C): 27th Jan
The NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels are:
Launceston Ti Tree Bend: 33 Deg C, Dalby Airport: 37 Deg C, for all other selected weather stations: 39 Deg C.
AEMO requests Market Participants to:
1. review the weather forecast in the local area where their generating units / MNSP converter stations are located and,
2. if required, update the available capacity in their dispatch offers or availability submissions consistent with the forecast temperatures.

Inter-regional transfer limit variation - Bundey to Buronga (6F) 330kV line - NSW region - 24/01/2025
A planned outage of Bundey to Buronga (6F) 330kV line in the NSW region was scheduled from 1931 hrs 21/01/2025 to 1900 hrs 25/01/2025.
The outage has been completed and Bundey to Buronga (6F) 330kV line returned to service at 0900 hrs 24/01/2025

The Forecast LOR2 condition in the Qld region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 123636 is cancelled at 2340 hrs 23/01/2025

PDPASA - Update of the Forecast Lack Of Reserve Level 2 (LOR2) in the QLD Region on 24/01/2025
The Forecast LOR2 condition in the QLD region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 123625 has been updated at 1700 hrs to the following:
[1.] From 1800 hrs 24/01/2025 to 1900 hrs 24/01/2025.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 813 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 751 MW.
AEMO is seeking a market response.
AEMO has not yet estimated the latest time at which it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event.

Inter-regional transfer limit variation - Lismore No.1 132 kV SVC - NSW region - 23/01/2025
A planned outage of Lismore No.1 132 kV SVC in the NSW region was scheduled from 2200 hrs 22/01/2025 to 1600 hrs 24/01/2025.
The outage has been completed and Lismore No.1 132 kV SVC returned to service at 1631 hrs 23/01/2025

AEMO declares a Forecast LOR2 condition under clause 4.8.4(b) of the National Electricity Rules for the QLD region for the following Period:
[1.] From 1800 hrs 24/01/2025 to 1930 hrs 24/01/2025.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 816 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 572 MW.
AEMO is seeking a market response.
AEMO has not yet estimated the latest time at which it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event.
