A planned outage of Kemps Creek No.3 Transformer in the NSW region was scheduled from 1330 hrs 23/12/2024 to 1330 hrs 15/01/2025.
The outage has been completed and Kemps Creek No.3 Transformer returned to service at 1419 hrs 13/01/2025

STPASA - Update of the Forecast Lack Of Reserve Level 1 (LOR1) in the NSW Region on 15/01/2025
The Forecast LOR1 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 123108 has been updated at 1400 hrs 13/01/2025 to the following:
From 1700 hrs to 1900 hrs 15/01/2025.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1804 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 1640 MW.

The Forecast LOR1 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 123154 has been updated at 1400 hrs to the following:
[1.] From 1630 hrs 13/01/2025 to 2000 hrs 13/01/2025.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1602 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 1056 MW.

The Forecast LOR1 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 123152 has been updated at 1030 hrs to the following:
[1.] From 1730 hrs 13/01/2025 to 1900 hrs 13/01/2025.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1709 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 1586 MW.

AEMO declares a Forecast LOR1 condition under clause 4.8.4(b) of the National Electricity Rules for the NSW region for the following Period:
[1.] From 1730 hrs 13/01/2025 to 1830 hrs 13/01/2025.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1815 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 1796 MW.

A planned outage of Armidale-Sapphire 8E 330 kV line in the NSW region was scheduled from 0500 hrs 12/01/2025 to 1700 hrs 12/01/2025.
The outage has been completed and Armidale-Sapphire 8E 330kV line returned to service at 1015 hrs 12/01/2025

At 1233 hrs 11/01/2025 there was an unplanned outage of Gordon - Chapel St No 1 220 kV line. There was approximately 52 MW of load reduction at Nyrstar.

NEM Local Temperature Alerts for SA, VIC from 10 Jan 2025 to 14 Jan 2025
AEMO's weather service provider has issued forecast temperatures equal to or greater than the NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels for listed weather stations below.
SA
Port Augusta Ap (39+ Deg C): 11th Jan, 14th Jan
VIC
Mildura Ap (39+ Deg C): 12th Jan, 13th Jan, 14th Jan
The NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels are:
Launceston Ti Tree Bend: 33 Deg C, Dalby Airport: 37 Deg C, for all other selected weather stations: 39 Deg C.
AEMO requests Market Participants to:
1. review the weather forecast in the local area where their generating units / MNSP converter stations are located and,
2. if required, update the available capacity in their dispatch offers or availability submissions consistent with the forecast temperatures.
