STPASA - Update of the Forecast Lack Of Reserve Level 2 (LOR2) in the NSW Region on 26/11/2024
The Forecast LOR2 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 120734 has been updated at 0900 hrs 21/11/2024 to the following:
1. From 1300 hrs to 1430 hrs 26/11/2024.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 685 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 154 MW.
2. From 1830 hrs to 2100 hrs 26/11/2024.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 730 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 38 MW.
AEMO is seeking a market response.
AEMO has not yet estimated the latest time it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event.

AEMO declares a Forecast LOR3 condition under clause 4.8.4(b) of the National Electricity Rules for the NSW region for the following period:
From 1430 hrs to 1830 hrs 26/11/2024.
The maximum load (other than interruptible loads) forecast to be interrupted is 269 MW at 1700 hrs.
AEMO is seeking a market response.
AEMO has not yet estimated the latest time it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event.

The minimum capacity reserve available is 132 MW.
2. From 1900 hrs to 2030 hrs 26/11/2024.
The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 730 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 149 MW.
