At 0249 hrs the Strathmore - Clare South No 7208 132KV Line opened at Strathmore end only.
AEMO did not instruct load shedding.
AEMO has not been advised of any disconnection of bulk electrical load.
The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.

Update - Lightning vulnerable equipment in QLD region
Special Reclassification of Transmission Equipment during lightning
Refer to AEMO Electricity Market Notice 115270.
At 1029 hrs 28/02/2024 the Tully - Cardwell No.7389 132 kV Line tripped and auto reclosed and Ross - Woree No. 8905 275 kV Line tripped and auto reclosed.
The cause of the trip was identified as due to lightning.
In accordance with SO_OP_3715, AEMO now considers these lines to be vulnerable due to lightning.

AEMO did not instruct load shedding.
AEMO has not been advised of any disconnection of bulk electrical load.

Request for Generator Recall Information for 29/02/2024 for QLD Region
Refer to AEMO Electricity Market Notice no. 115193. Additional generation in QLD could assist in alleviating the forecast LOR2 condition in NSW.
Please provide Generator Recall Information for the period 29/02/2024, by 1200 hrs 28/02/2024 via the Generator Recall communication system, in accordance with clause 4.8.5A of the National Electricity Rules.
