Foreseeable AEMO intervention under clause 4.8.5A (a) of the NER in SA region

AEMO has identified a foreseeable circumstance that may require an AEMO intervention event in the SA region from 0900 hrs 11/04/2025.

The foreseeable circumstance requiring the need for intervention is Voltage.

AEMO, Transgrid and Electranet have reviewed the test results following the PEC Stage 1 testing on 31st January 2025. Hold points 4 and 5 can now be released.

The following limits will be released as of 1000hrs 11th April 2025:
- PEC-1 - 150 MW (both directions)
- Heywood + PEC1 - 750 MW from Vic to SA and 700 MW from SA to Vic
- The existing Heywood limits of 600 and 550 MW are not being changed.

AEMO no longer foresees a possible requirement for intervention to manage power system security in SA region. The advice of possible intervention is cancelled from 1430 hrs 09/04/2025.

Internal / Market Portal Services will have an outage due to EMMS site transfer activities carried out along with this change.
