AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE.

At 1827 hrs 13/02/2024 At Hazelwood terminal station in the Victoria region, the following plant was returned to service.

The No1 500 kV / 220 kV transformer
The No2 500 kV / 220 kV transformer
The No3 500 kV / 220 kV transformer
The No4 500 kV / 220 kV transformer

The Jeeralang - Hazelwood No 2 220kV line remains out of service.

AEMO ELECTRICITY MARKET NOTICE.

Non-credible contingency event - TAS region - 13/02/2024

At 1602 hrs the Norwood -Scottsdale 110kV line and the Norwood - Scottsdale -Derby 110kV line tripped.

AEMO did not instruct load shedding.

AEMO has been advised 8MW of electrical load and 24MW of generation has been disconnected.

The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.

At 1308 hrs 13/02/2024 the Moorabool Sydenham No1 and No2 500 kV lines tripped.
There have been reports of towers on the ground.

In the Victorian region
1000 MW of customer load lost during the fault has been restored
2690 Generation tripped

The AEMO instructed loadshed of 300 MW is being progressively restored.

Description of event - Multiple tripping of generation and transmission lines in the Vic region

Transmission element(s) tripped - Moorabool Sydenham No1 and No2 500 kV lines tripped

Region/s - Vic

Load interrupted - in excess of 1000 MW

Generation volume tripped - 2300 MW

- All access to the Gas B2B Hub and all ebXML gateways (AEMOMIBB, AGNLGWY, LVI & VENCORP) will be unavailable. CATS and MDMT transactions for VIC/QLD will be delayed during the maintenance window.
- Users are not required to take any action due to this change, however will need to enact manual workarounds for the outage period.

The actual LOR1 condition in the Qld region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 114397 has been updated at 1915 hrs 06/02/2024 to the following:

The Actual LOR1 condition is forecast to exist until 2000 hrs.

The forecast capacity reserve requirement is 1045 MW.
The minimum capacity reserve available is 950 MW.

The capacity reserve requirement is 1095 MW
The minimum capacity reserve available is 892 MW
