List of Wind Vulnerable Transmission Lines

AEMO NEM power system operating procedure SO_OP_3715 – Power System Security Guidelines identifies a small set of double circuit transmission lines that have lower wind ratings compared to the standard design used in their region. These double circuit lines are classified as Wind Vulnerable Transmission Lines.

AEMO reclassifies loss of Wind Vulnerable Transmission Lines as credible contingencies when severe wind conditions exceeding their wind ratings is imminent in the relevant weather districts.

Refer the power system operating procedure SO_OP_3715 for further details on reclassification of Wind Vulnerable Transmission lines.
