Notice of Consultation

AEMO gives notice of consultation on proposed changes to the STTM Procedures (the “Procedures”) under Rule 135EE of the National Gas Rules.

This notice of consultation is dated 20 August 2015.

Proposed procedure changes

The proposed changes to the Procedures are to align with the National Gas Amendment (Contingency Gas Evidentiary Changes) Rule 2015 No. 2, published by the AEMC on 7 May 2015.

The proposed changes will reflect:

  • the process for trading participants to revise price steps within their contingency bids or offers at the confirmation stage;
  • the scope of evidence that AEMO will require to determine the quantity of contingency gas provided; and
  • the method that AEMO will use to determine the resettlement charge payable to trading participants.

Impact and Implementation Report

AEMO has published an Impact and Implementation Report (IIR) below, which details the proposed changes to the Procedures.

Gas Market Participants and other interested parties are invited to submit comments on the proposed procedure changes and the Impact and Implementation Report to AEMO by 5pm, Thursday 17 September 2015 via email to: GWCF_Correspondence@aemo.com.au
