In accordance with rule 5.20A of the National Electricity Rules (NER), AEMO is required to undertake a General Power System Risk Review (GPSRR) and prepare a GPSRR report for the National Electricity Market (NEM) at least annually. From 2023, the GPSRR replaced and expanded on the scope of the previous biennial Power System Frequency Risk Review (PSFRR).
Overview
In accordance with rule 5.20A of the National Electricity Rules (NER), AEMO is required to undertake a General Power System Risk Review (GPSRR) and prepare a GPSRR report for the National Electricity Market (NEM) at least annually. From 2023, the GPSRR replaced and expanded on the scope of the previous biennial Power System Frequency Risk Review (PSFRR).
AEMO has now completed the approach paper consultation. This is the first stage in publishing the 2024 GPSRR report by 31 July 2024.
