      Consultations
  • AEMO gives notice of consultation on proposed changes to the Wholesale Market Metering Procedures (Victoria) and the Gas Metering – CTM Data Requirements under Rule 135EE of the National Gas Rules.

This notice of consultation is dated 2 August 2016.

    Proposed procedure changes

The ‘Wholesale Market Metering Procedures (Victoria)’ provides the technical information that responsible persons (including metering data agents) need to follow in order to meet their requirements under the rules.

Proposed changes made to the Procedures include:

    • Combining the six existing National Gas Rules metering Procedures documents into a single document.
    • Updating the Procedures to ensure that references to standards, software, and other AEMO documents are current.
    • Rewriting parts of the Procedures to clarify content.

The proposed changes to the Procedures also includes an update to the associated ‘Gas Metering – CTM Data Requirements’ document that detailed information about data formatting requirements. The document is a reference used by responsible persons to ensure that data from their CTMs can be successfully collected, stored, and used by AEMO’s systems.

Proposed changes made to the CTM Data Requirements include:

    • The addition of array tables that are available for metering sites with multiple metering runs.
    • Updates for improved clarity.

    Impact and Implementation Report

AEMO has published an Impact and Implementation Report (IIR) below, which details the proposed changes to the Wholesale Market Metering Procedures (Victoria) and the Gas Metering – CTM Data Requirements.

Gas Market Registered Participants and other interested parties are invited to submit comments on the proposed procedure changes and the Impact and Implementation Report to AEMO by 5pm, Friday 2 September 2016 via email to: GWCF_Correspondence@aemo.com.au.
