The Reserve Capacity timetable shows the key dates in Year 1 of the relevant Reserve Capacity Cycle. This timetable is intended to help Market Participants keep track of important dates under the Reserve Capacity Mechanism.
2018 Reserve Capacity Cycle Timetable
At this stage, AEMO will run a normal Reserve Capacity Cycle for the 2020-21 Capacity Year. The timetable for the 2018 Reserve Capacity Cycle (2020-21 Capacity Year) is available below:

2016 and 2017 Reserve Capacity Cycle timetable Rule Change
On 29 June 2017, the Minister for Energy implemented a Rule Change to extend all remaining dates in the 2016 and 2017 Reserve Capacity Cycles. This Rule Change has been executed under the Minister for Energy’s temporary Rule Change powers under the Electricity Industry (Wholesale Electricity Market) Regulation 2004. The updated timetable for the 2016 and 2017 Reserve Capacity Cycles are below.
AEMO has completed the assignment of Capacity Credits for the 2016 Reserve Capacity Cycle. The assignment of Capacity Credits for the 2017 Reserve Capacity Cycle is to be completed on 23 March 2018.
2016 Extension Notice
